Luna French Butter Crock

A French butter crock also known as a beurrier is a two piece dish designed to keep your butter fresh but spreadable and soft. The water system prevents oxidation and keeps your butter from spoiling. 

How to Use your Butter Crock:

• Pack the lid by firmly placing 1/2 cup of butter inside the lid. 
• Fill the base with about 1/3 cup cold water. 
• Flip the lid upside down and place it into the base. The water will submerge the butter, creating an airtight seal. 
• Change your water 2-3x per week. Adding salt to the water will help prevent mold from any stray crumbs from your bread.

Process:

• Each Luna butter crock is handcrafted on the potter’s wheel, altered then hand trimmed . Each piece is glazed in one our signature glazes.

Materials:

• A speckled brown stoneware clay. Durable, lead free glazes custom mixed in my studio.

• Sand - a warm beige
• Mist - a cool white almost pink
• Shale - a cool gray
• Luxardo - a deep cherry red

Size & Capacity:

• All measurements are approximate due to the hand thrown nature of my work. 
• ~3.5 inches tall x 4 inches wide. 

Care:

• Microwave and dishwasher safe. 
  

Return Policy:

• All products vary slightly due to the handmade nature of all of my work. This includes glazes, drips, etc. Click here to review the policy before purchasing. 

Customers must return their item within 7 days from receipt of product. Shipping fees are non-refundable and the customer must pay the cost of return shipping. Once the item arrives safely then a refund will be processed for the amount of the item. If the item arrives damage I cannot issue a refund.
