Echeveria Teal: How We Choose our Color of the Year

We love to find a new color to introduce into the mix of our core collection colors. Luxardo red ended up sticking around because it worked so well with our other colors. How do we choose our colors?

This year according to the powers that be who chose your color forecasting we were left with white and beige. In a world where everything seems awful we now had this complete lack of joy for home decor colors. I am not a trend forecaster - I am an artist. The color this year was inspired to inspire. It's a bold choice but one that blends with our other collection colors. Behr chose "Hidden Gem" as their color which is very close to what I decided should be the one. I've also seen this color crop up on Anthropologie and other retailers. 

Trends are just that. I strive to make heirloom pieces. I think color is always in season. Go with what you love when you decorate and the rest will follow.
