Cylinder Wood Ash Vase

This vase was crafted in speckled brown stoneware clay. It was decorated with white slip. After the first firing I applied a blue wood ash glaze. Wood ash glazes are exactly like they sound. They are mixed using wood ash for a surface that is full of texture and movement. Because they are not food safe they are the perfect surface treatment for vases and planters.

Approximate measurements: 6.5 inches tall x 3.5 inches at the opening and 3.5 inches at the base.
