Workshops
Workshop FAQ
The studio no longer offers classes. In 2025 workshops will return on a very limited basis. We cannot schedule special requests at this time due to space and staffing.
All workshops will be refunded up to 7 days prior to workshop start date minus a 25% convenience fee. This means if you take a Saturday workshop you have to cancel by the Saturday one week before by midnight. No exceptions.
The studio is located within the Lake Erie Bldg at 13000 Athens Ave in Lakewood, OH. This is home to the Screw Factory Artists.
My studio is on floor 3 of the building. There is a freight elevator that I or my instructors can run if needed. Just let us know the week before your workshop.
The studio DOES NOT fire outside work. Due to the high production side of the studio coupled with the membership studio we do not have the time or capacity to offer such services.
The members' studio is the perfect solution for ceramics enthusiasts to have a space to work without the commitment of expensive equipment and space.
BENEFITS:
- 24/7 access. The space is limited to 4 members working at one time.
- Multiple bisque and glaze firings each week. Because I am a production potter I fire often which is a bonus for members looking for quicker turnover of work. I do not charge extra for firings.
- Access to over two dozen glazes (cone 5/6), slips, multiple tools, slump molds and a slab roller
- Ample table space for work.
- One shelf space plus community shelf shared space. Members have a designated shelf for clay to help save on space.
- Access to 4 electric pottery wheels for left or right handed artists.
- $205/month. $190/month w a 3 month commitment. The only additional cost is clay at $24-35 a bag based on which type of clay you choose. No outside clay is permitted.
- Members are allowed to sell work during the shows at the Screw Factory for a small fee.
