Visiting Artist Didem Mert

This fall the studio kicked off a new visiting artist workshop program with Didem Mert of Cincinnati, Ohio. Didem spent the day sharing her methods for hand building pots using bisque molds and pinched slabs. She also explained her decorative process which includes multiple steps and uses glaze, under glaze, stains and terra sigillata. Below are photos of her demos, finished pieces for sale and my dog Fey welcoming her at dinner.
