About my studio: My business was founded in 2013. I strive to make high quality ceramic wares for the home and table. My clients include Anthropologie, Uncommon Goods, McGee & Co. and many other large retailers. My studio is housed in a factory building in the Birdtown area of Lakewood, Ohio.

Lead Production Assistant

THIS POSITION IS CURRENTLY FILLED.


Job Status: Part-time. 12-20 hours a week. This position does not provide benefits.

Hourly Rate: $15 an hour.

Requirements: This position requires a highly organized individual with attention to detail. You will be responsible for assembling items such as chimes and shipping all items made at the studio. You must oversee shipment timelines, maintain quality control and work with other team members to meet deadlines.

You must be able to stand while working for extended periods of time, lift up to 50lbs, and work in a factory studio that has no AC in the summer.

You must be professional, responsible, show up on time, work well when left solo or when working with the team. You must have reliable transportation to get to work and proof of US citizenship.

Hours are during the mornings and afternoons Monday-Friday.

Description: The fulfillment manager is responsible for multiple shipping channels at the studio including retail, wholesale and drop ship. This position also includes packing artwork for freight shipments to major retailers. Fulfilling orders also includes quality control and the assembly of multiple products in preparation for shipments.

Hourly Rate: $16 an hour. Plus access to the membership studio to produce your own artwork, kiln firings and a monthly stipend of clay (50lbs).

Requirements: A bachelors degree in ceramics or a portfolio illustrating your high quality ceramic art with an attention to detail. This position is focused on all the hand built items that are created at my studio. Wheel throwing is not a requirement but you must show proficiency in your field and have a willingness to learn.

You must be able to stand while working for extended periods of time, lift up to 50lbs, and work in a factory studio that has no AC in the summer.

We work hard at my studio to bring clients only the best in home decor. This includes pinch pot chimes, slab built items and personalized slab built products for a major retailer. You will help recycle clay, prepare and formulate glazes, glaze my work and load kilns. This position will require two months of training and has the possibility of extra hours during the holiday season for the right candidate. I am looking for someone who wants to grow as an artist.

3-Month Internship (paid)

THIS POSITION IS CURRENTLY FILLED.)

Job Status: Temporary. 10 hours a week. This position does not provide benefits.

Hourly Rate: $14 an hour.

Requirements: I am looking for candidates who are working on their ceramics degree or artists who are looking to expand their work portfolio to pursue a career in the arts.

You must be able to stand while working for extended periods of time, lift up to 50lbs, and work in a factory studio that has no AC in the summer.

You must be professional, responsible, show up on time, work well when left solo or when working with the team. You must have reliable transportation to get to work and proof of US citizenship.

Description: We work hard at my studio to bring clients only the best in home decor. This internship is 3 months. I am ideally seeking a candidate to start in June however I am happy to work with students around their summer break schedules. Interns will learn the ropes of running a professional ceramics studio. This includes but is not limited to loading/unloading kilns, mixing glazes, prepping clay and artwork, recycling clay, light cleaning and shipping artwork. Every shift is different based on current orders.
